The challenge

ANZCO Foods, one of New Zealand's leading exporters, is dedicated to delivering nutrition and good health to New Zealanders through premium-quality beef and lamb. With their new sponsorship of IRONMAN New Zealand, we were given the challenge of using this platform to highlight ANZCO’s commitment to nutrition.

IRONMAN athletes are the epitome of active, healthy living and depend greatly on proper nutrition to achieve peak performance. Iron is essential for endurance athletes as it plays a crucial role in energy metabolism and oxygen transport, which are vital for top athletic performance. Beef and lamb are among the richest sources of iron available.

The solution

The creative concept, "Putting the IRON in IRONMAN," focuses on how ANZCO’s beef and lamb products provide elite athletes with the critical nutrients they need for peak performance.

We developed a communication strategy to engage not only the immediate audience but also the wider health, fitness, and high-performance communities. Our approach included using influencers, digital platforms, podcasts, guerrilla marketing, and event activations. We also implemented an internal communication plan to ensure the whole ANZCO team was aligned and motivated.
